Appearance
Magenta and deep purple hues of remarkable vibrancy, showing youth, concentration, and vitality.

Aroma
A captivating perfume of violets, wild rose, mulberry, and Satsuma plum interlaced with liquorice, wild berries, and juicy cherries. Subtle layers of sandalwood and elegant cigar box entwined with a delicate touch of cacao.

Palate
Elegant and perfumed, yet powerful and poised. Fine, silky tannins unfold effortlessly across the palate, opening with attractive florals of rose petal and revealing layers of cassis, mulberries, and plum. The mid-palate flows with dark chocolate, laced with subtle spice, vanilla, and cigar box, all framed by the varietal typicity of our old block. Ironstone notes provide definition and length, expressing a wine soft and elegant in touch, yet dense in fruit, balance, and fine phenolics.

Winemakers comments
Diana Madeline AM was a revered matriarch with a deep love for the world. Her passion for the Bordeaux blend led her to introduce both Merlot and Cabernet Franc to the Margaret River wine region in 1976. She had a particular fondness for the Cabernet family, especially Petit Verdot and Malbec. To honour her legacy and the exceptional 2023 vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon, we have crafted the inaugural release of a Legacy Series wine in her name.

Vinification
This blend represents the first pick of Cabernet from the stellar 2023 vintage, occurring on a full Moon and Moon opposite Saturn harvest in early March. A co-fermented blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Malbec.

Maturation
Matured in 33% new French oak for 14 months.
