PALATE
Richer, fuller bodied style of Chardonnnay.

FOOD MATCHING
This style of chardonnay lends itself to classic pairings. Oysters perhaps being the most obvious one but any light seafood would pair perfectly with this wine.

REGION NOTES
The Maragle vineyard is located at the southern tip of Tumbarumba towards the Victorian Border. Unlike many other vineyards in Tumbarumba, the Vineyard only lies at 450 meters above sea level making it one of the lower altitude vineyards in the region. Fruit from this vineyard ripens earlier than other vineyards and generally produces a more powerful robust style of chardonnay than the higher altitdue sites. The soil is decomposed granite and is relatively light in colour. The vineyards are now almost 30 years old and are grown on a smart dyson canopy system.

VINIFICATION
The fruit was hand picked and lightly pressed to French oak puncheons (500 L). The wine then matured in oak for 10 months on gross lees prior to bottling.
