A short lineage of just 10 Cellar Masters has led this quest for quality, thereby ensuring the continuity of the Veuve Clicquot style: strength and complexity. After several challenging vintages, a comet passed over Champagne in 1811, and Madame Clicquot interpreted this as an omen indicating an outstanding harvest. The comet is the star of the design of this exclusive giftbox of the beloved Veuve Clicquot Rosé Champagne, which is still one of the House's most significant icons today. 

Madame Clicquot had an audacious new vision in which colour, taste and aroma were vital to the quality of wine. Breaking tradition in 1818, she recreated how rose champagne was made - from a simple white wine coloration made with elderberries, to a magnificent blend of her still white and red wines.

The coppery champagne, the burst of red fruit aromas…to achieve it, the blend is an essential element, a creative act. The Cellar Master and his team of experts select excellent quality red wines and still wines from some of the most sought-after vineyards in Champagne to find the flavors and characteristics that perfectly express the Veuve Clicquot Rosé style.
