TASTING NOTES

AROMA

Classic Hunter Valley Semillon from another strong vintage. The nose is vibrant with an abundance of citrus fruits and floral elements.

PALATE

The palate is medium bodied, yet intense, with great length and a brisk acidity.

REGION NOTES

Hunter Valley Semillon is sourced from a selection of some of our top Semillon vineyards around the Hunter Valley. Most of the vineyards are dry grown and have an average vine age of 40 years.

WINEMAKERS COMMENTS

An introduction to the key varietals of the Hunter Valley: Semillon, Chardonnay, and Shiraz, designed to drink now. Five generations of winegrowing and winemaking in the Hunter Valley, and over 160 years of vineyard management and winemaking experience culminate to produce a regional benchmark for textbook Hunter Valley wines. Old vine, sustainably grown estate fruit complimented with long-term Hunter Valley grower material, blended, and made to the same exacting standards as our flagship wines.

VINTAGE NOTES

2026 was an early, compressed vintage with a growing season that was warm and dry, with rain at just the right times, to ensure the vines produced abundant, pristine fruit, producing wines with purity and intense fruit characters.

VINIFICATION

The grapes were machine picked in the cool of the night before gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine then spent a short amount of time on yeast lees to gain extra complexity and mouth feel.
