TASTING NOTES
AROMA
The nose is pure and precise, exhibiting elegant floral notes, citrus and a hint of aged complexity from the extended maturation time on lees before disgorging.
PALATE
The palate also shows the purity of Chardonnay made in a traditional sparkling style with flavours of green apple, lemon, white peach and brioche.
REGION NOTES
Sourced from the Tyrrell Family-owned Casuarina Vineyard located on Hermitage Road, Pokolbin, a dry grown block planted in 1980 on ancient sandy loam soils ideal for growing super-premium whites.
VINTAGE NOTES
The 2018 vintage was one of the best in recent memory and has produced wines of the highest quality. Solid rains in winter and spring meant the vines had constant access to water and the warmer weather in the new year meant all the fruit was in near perfect condition and ripeness when it was harvested.
