TASTING NOTES

AROMA

Showing evolution with complex notes of savoury spice and ironstone.

PALATE

The palate is resolved with lengthy tannin and soft acidity. Still remarkably fragrant.

Vision: To make exciting, refined wines exclusively from the Adelaide Hills that reflect our sites and climate.

CELLARING POTENTIAL

Although our wines drink well on release, they can also age very well. Cellared in perfect conditions at the winery until they are showing the complexity that bottle age can bring.

VINIFICATION

Hand picked and fermented as a combination of whole berries and whole bunches in open fermenters, with gentle plunging and minimal working. Aged in French oak for fourteen months, of which one third was new.

VINTAGE NOTES

The growing season started warmer than average leading to good canopy and fruit development. January rainfall provided relief from earlier warmer temperatures and was timely to aid fruit development through the ripening period, resulting in healthy fruit being harvested two weeks earlier than average.
