Tasting Notes

Appearance
A young and fresh style of Shriaz, with a brilliant and vibrant purple colour.

Aroma
There is plenty of raspberry, cherry and maple nut flavours with violet and plums on the nose.

Palate
The palate is medium bodied in intensity, coupled with a soft tannin structure to produce a very drinkable wine to match its youthfulness.

Cellaring potential
5-8 years.

Vinification
The certified Organic fruit was harvested in late March and gently crushed into a small open top fermenter. No winemaking additives were added, and natural yeasts were used. This wine sees stainless steel for approximately 6-9 months. We adopted a minimal intervention practice in the winery with this wine, ensuring it uses organic practices and is vegan friendly - only grapes were harmed during the process!

Vintage notes
One of the best red wine vintages wer have seen in a long time! Good winter rain set the vineyard up for an excellent start, with an excellent growing season. Summer conditions were mild and dry, allowing us to concentrate on slow ripening of the fruit. Some cooler and wet weather towards the end of harvest meant the Cabernet had some ideal conditions leading up to harvest.
