TASTING NOTES
APPEARANCE
White gold with a fine, persistent bead.
AROMA
Aromas of white nectarine and green apple with hints of brioche and almond meal.
PALATE
The palate is vibrant and balanced with white stonefruit and green apple flavours along with a touch of hazelnut complexity. A fine mousse and bright acidity give this wine freshness and a long, persistent finish.
VINTAGE NOTES
The 2022 vintage began in the with significant late spring rainfall which then gave way to drier but cooler than average weather through December and January. The resulting long, cool ripening period allowed for the grapes to develop complex and intense flavours, whilst maintaining freshness and bright acidity.
VINIFICATION
Made from 100% Chardonnay from the Orange region in NSW. The fruit was hand picked and immediately transported to our winery in the Hunter Valley. The fruit was handled very delicately and whole bunch pressed in order to preserve the pure fruit characteristics. Primary fermentation was conducted in stainless steel at cool temperatures to enchance varietal purity and retain delicate aromatics.
