Vintage notes
2025 was a warmer-than-average vintage on the Peninsula, with minimal rain and beautifully settled conditions. Strong fruit set and well-balanced vines set the season up for success, allowing the fruit to ripen evenly and at the perfect pace. The result was vibrant flavour development and beautifully ripe, healthy fruit at harvest.
Vinification
The grapes were handpicked and crushed to 2t open fermenters. Half was destemmed and innoculated and spent 5-7days on skins. Half was left as whole bunches for 4-5 days before being destemmed and put back to the tank to complete fermentation. After fermentation was completed both parcels were pressed off and transferred to barrel to complete malolactic fermentation. The wines were SO2’d in barrel and matured on lees with 10% new French oak before being racked out of barrel, blended, filtered and bottled.
