Personalised Hesketh Midday Somewhere Shiraz 2023 14.5% 750ml
Made in a medium-bodied style reflecting the cool climate, this wine shows bright primary fruit flavours with spice, and natural acidity. The nose is lifted and aromatic and when you sip, it exceeds expectations; so much so that you may find it hard to resist.
TASTING NOTES
Colour: Deep ruby with bright purple hues.
Aroma: Spice, dark fruits & floral notes. Raspberries, white pepper and herbs with some brooding, savoury, spice adding complexity.
Palate: Bright red fruits of strawberry and blackberry. Fine acid leads to a smooth mouthfeel with soft tannins and a touch of savoury spice.
Food Match: Roast lamb or a rich ragu

This is truly stellar value. The fruit, from the Limestone Coast, saw time in seasoned French oak. Dark maroon in colour, the nose weaves through chocolate and blackcurrants with spices, a hint of mint and coffee beans. The wine is plush and very approachable now with red fruits also making their presence felt. Focused with fine but firm and expansive tannins, it shows impressive structure and really good length, over which the intensity never waivers. Generous now but should go ten years and amazing value. Makes you wonder, if these guys can offer a wine of this quality for this price, why would you ever pay more?
