PALATE
White peach emerges on a rich, complex palate with impressive layering and depth.
MATURATION
Eight months in French oak and partial malolactic fermentation have woven seamlessly into the fruit, creating a wine of real substance and structure.
VINIFICATION
Barrel fermented exclusively in French oak barriques (40% new) for 8 months; only partial natural malolactic fermentation.

A lithe and racy expression of Adelaide Hills chardonnay. Compact in its frame, tight and somewhat muted in perfume. There's floral lift, a yeasty, kind of sweet, nutty character, green apple, flint, ginger biscuits, arrowroot biscuit and gentle, creamy vanilla notes on show. It feels quite unresolved at present, yeast and ferment elements not quite settled in, with some lactic notes chiming against bristling acidity. In all that, the fruit shows well, and the wine gives vibrancy and energy markers. Stay the course. 92+
