Personalised Château Lapinesse Sauternes 2022 12.5% 375ML

The Siozard family have been living and working on the banks of the River Dordogne, across from St Emilion, since the late 19th Century. The Chateau Lapinesse vineyards have been certified in Sustainable Agriculture since 2016 (Agriculture Raisonnée ‘Terra Vitis’) and Haute Valeur Environnementale farming since 2018; and are in conversion to organic farming. The Sauternes are made from hand harvested semillion grapes. The selection of only the perfectly botrytis affected berries is made during several passages through the vineyards. Vinification is carried out in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by 12 months maturation in new French oak barrels.

AROMA
The nose is aromatic with notes of zest of yuzu, lemon, peach, quince, spices, crushed pear and verbena.

PALATE
The palate is fruity, well -balanced, mineral and offers a nice juicy / acid frame, a fine suavity and straightness as well as a certain finesse. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of flat peach, citrus, quince, verbena and flowers

GRAPES/BLEND
100% Semillon.

VINIFICATION
From manual harvest with several handpicking to select only perfectly botrytised grapes, musts obtained by direct pressing are cleaned out and vinified at low temperature.

MATURATION
Ageing 12 months in stainless steel tank.

CELLARING POTENTIAL
5-10 years.
