Together they've crafted 'IHANA' – Finnish for "wonderful", a word Valtteri reserves for the truly exceptional. This McLaren Vale Shiraz is precision and passion from two very different worlds. Aroma
Dusty chopped chocolate, cherry berry, vanilla and roasted meats.

Palate
Intense and elegant, Edition #3 delivers a lavish concentration of dark fruits, layered with aromatic mustikka (Finnish bilberry) and a touch of salmiakki (salted liquorice).

Winemaking
Sourced from Oliver's Taranga's 'Old Block' of 1948 vines and block 106 (1654 clone, planted 1992) in McLaren Vale, and aged in all French oak. Valtteri Bottas selected the final blend, guided by Corrina Wright.

Critic Review
"From Oliver's old block of 1948 vines and block 106, planted in 1992 to 1654 clone. This is the third release, and the first, I believe, to use the older vines; all French oak. This is a colab with Formula One driver Valtteri Bottas, which sees him select the final blend. There's been a sleekness to the past two, very good, editions, while this feels a little more into earthen detail, with a greater sense of place rather than sheen. Those older vines, perhaps? Anyway, it's another excellent release. Black plum and cherry, blackberry compote, arabica coffee, bitter chocolate, soft licorice, some agreeable grain and grit to tannin, the fruit and savoury detail expanding over the prodigious length."
