MacNair’s Lum Reek Cask Strength Batch 1 is a distinguished 10-year-old Scotch blended malt whiskey originating from the inaugural batch. This appealing blend comprises select Speyside and Islay single malt whiskies, including aged GlenAllachie, resulting in a peat mixture that is rich and well-balanced.

The blend undergoes a 10-year maturation process in a variety of casks, starting with premium ex-sherry Spanish casks. It is then transferred to ex-wine barrique barrels and concludes in virgin oak barrels at the GlenAllachie distillery, imparting the whiskey with a unique woody flavor coupled with sweet yet faintly smoky undertones.

The matured whiskey is bottled at its natural alcohol content of 55.4 %, and is free from added dyes and cold filtration. The bottle is presented in a red-gold gift tube.

The whiskey presents an amber color with red highlights. Its aroma is characterized by earthy, raisin, red fruit, smoke, oak, brandy, and vanilla notes while its taste is a harmonious blend of slightly sweet, chocolate, cinnamon, caramel, nuts, wood, and smoke. The finish is long-lasting with a hint of spice, complemented by caramel, bananas, smoke, ginger, and citrus.
