Tasting Notes

Aroma
Bright and expressive, with aromas of rose petals, red cherry, raspberry and plum skin, layered with subtle pepper and spice.

Palate
The palate is fresh and medium-bodied, showing ripe red fruits, gentle savoury complexity and fine, supple tannins. Unwooded and fruit-forward, with lively acidity and an inviting, softly spiced finish.

Winemakers comments
This is a bright, fruit-driven expression of the Canberra District’s excellent 2025 vintage. A dry Spring and warm, even Summer set the stage for an early, compact harvest, delivering ripe, expressive fruit with balanced acidity and fine tannins. The result is a vibrant and supple Shiraz that reflects an exceptional vintage.
Food matching
Lamb koftas, pepper-crusted tuna, grilled eggplant, pork skewers or woodfired flatbread.

Vinification
The fruit was destemmed and crushed for fermentation on skins before being pressed to stainless steel to complete malolactic fermentation. The wine was matured without oak and bottled in Spring, preserving its purity, vibrant fruit and supple structure.

Vintage notes
2025 was a warm and early vintage across the Canberra District. A dry Spring and warm, even Summer supported clean fruit development and led to an early, compact harvest. The settled conditions allowed flavours to develop fully while retaining balanced acidity and fine tannins. Wines from the season are expressive, generous and immediately appealing, with excellent varietal clarity.
