KILCHOMAN SMALL BATCH FRENCH INSPIRATION #2 BOURBON / OLOROS 49.1% 700ML

Kilchoman Small Batch French Inspiration #2, is one of two small batch bottlings from Islay’s farm distillery selected for the folks at La Maison du Whisky. The whisky matured in a unique combination of bourbon, Oloroso sherry and Sauternes casks, before being bottled in 2022 at 49.1%.

The resulting dram reveals notes of orange zest, peat smoke, apricots, dark chocolate, honey and white grapes. Kilchoman is located on the north-west coast of Islay. The farm-to-bottle distillery was founded in 2005. Staying true to Islay’s rich farm distilling heritage, Kilchoman produces its single malt using traditional methods.

The barley is grown on-site at Rockside Farm and malted at Port Ellen as well as at the distillery’s own traditional floor maltings. The whisky is matured in traditional dunnage warehouses and bottled on-site.
