Produced from one of the “Top 100 Wineries in the World” this Giant Steps Chardonnay is seen as the king of white varieties. The very stylish number from Phil Sexton and his team is long and textured on the palate with a clean crisp finish.

Expert Review:
Mike Bennie- 93 points- Has some generosity, depth, glide and zest. A plucky, perky chardonnay full of tension in fresh-feeling and getting-ripe stone fruit characters, light mealy notes, licks of talc and faint pumice-like texture. Light on its feet but not without depth, layers of fruit, cinnamon spice, faint yeasty-sourdough savouriness. Feels pretty darn good.

Yarra Valley based vigneron, Phil Sexton lives with his family in the middle of their 32 hectare vineyard established on the high north face of the Warramate Ranges in the dress circle of the Yarra Valley. Specialising in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Giant Steps explore site, micro climatic and clonal differences between several specialized vineyards in the Yarra Valley including their own multi-clonal vineyard and the highly regarded Tarraford vineyard. Focused intently upon reflecting the individual and unique characteristics of each single vineyard, Giant Steps adopts a minimalist approach to winemaking including, whenever possible, vinification using indigenous yeasts and gravity flow transfers.
