Freemark Abbey Sycamore Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 14.5% 750ml

Freemark Abbey Sycamore Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 14.5% 750ml

The wine has great depth of black fruit flavor, with a strong expression of sweet black cherry. This full bodied cabernet sauvignon has resolved tannins yet firm structure, with good acidity. Lovely long finsh.

Freemark Abbey’s history begins in 1886 when Josephine Tychson, the first female vintner in California, built the original redwood cellar on which the estate sits. The winery is best known for crafting classically structured Cabernet Sauvignon from pedigreed sites, including the iconic Bosché and Sycamore vineyards. Freemark Abbey competed in “The Judgement of Paris” blind tasting in 1976 and was the only winery with both a red and a white wine represented.
