TASTING NOTES
APPEARANCE
Pale yellow with light green hues.
AROMA
Lifted aromas of green apple and pear with honeydew melon and hints of ginger.
PALATE
The palate is juicy and fresh with nashi pear and white peach flavours and a crisp and balanced finish.
VINTAGE NOTES
The 2026 vintage commenced with excellent winter rainfall followed by an early spring which saw a strong, uniform budburst. This provided the vines with an excellent foundation for the year with vigorous canopy development and a strong flowering and fruit set. The vines then enjoying a long warm and sunny ripening period, with average rainfall. These elements combined to deliver simply perfect conditions the ripening period, leading to the development of intense flavours whilst maintaining natural acidity.
VINIFICATION
The fruit for this wine was selected from a premium cool climate vineyard in the Orange region of NSW. The grapes were immediately transported to our winery in Pokolbin where it was gently pressed. The juice was then cold settled for 2 days and then the clean juice racked off lees. Fermentation was conducted at cool temperatures in stainless steel with an aromatic yeast strain. The wine was then left on light lees to build mouthfeel before being lightly fined, filtered and bottled.
