ARCHIE ROSE AUSTRALIAN ORIGINAL WHISKY 40% 700ML

Created in collaboration with Archie Rose co-owner Chris Hemsworth, Australian Original Whisky is crafted from a marriage of Archie Rose's Straight Rye Malt and Single Malt Whiskies. Bottled at 40%, this approachable, lighter style of all-malt whisky is crafted from 100% Australian, sustainably farmed heritage rye and barley malts.

Made from natural Australian grown ingredients with zero neutral spirits, artificial colourings or flavourings, it is bottled at 40% ABV after maturing for at least three years in European and American oak casks in the maritime air of coastal Sydney.

Led by Master Distiller Dave Withers, the Archie Rose production team uses an individual malt stream technique that ferments, distills and matures each malt separately, to highlight the distinct character of each malt, before marrying them together to create the final whisky.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Freshly cut pineapple with layers of fresh and dried citrus peel (grapefruit, orange and meyer lemon). As it opens, salted caramel, malt chocolate, fire roasted hazelnuts, sticky date pudding, antique leather and sun dried sultanas, offset by whipped cream and royal icing.

Palate: Complex balance of bright pineapple, banana and citrus flavours with figs, dates, milk chocolate and brown sugar.

Finish: Evolving and long, with vanilla cream and Belgian milk chocolate. Appearance: light amber.

Unlike many whiskies at this price point that mix neutral spirits or liquids from multiple distilleries, Archie Rose Australian Original is a 100% malt whisky produced from start to finish under one roof at the Sydney distillery.
