Among the great varieties of the southern Rhône, clairette is a rocket ship of acidity and mineral pungency. This, a lightweight, frisky version, effusing young vines with requisite primary fruit and verve, via a cool ferment in tank and a blend of free-run juice and pressings. Think quince, orange blossom and jasmine, skittering along rails of talc and a gentle chew. Delicious drinking, with a bright future as the vineyard matures.
