There are several expressions of Angostura No.1 in a series, each subject to a different wood regime and identified by 'editions'. This is the second, and comes aged in two types of used oak, initially x-Bourbon oak for ten years followed by six years in French oak, the latter reportedly held cognac. As such, it is the first-ever Angostura rum to be finished in French oak. The profile extends through nuts, dried fruits (dates, figs) and subtle floral notes.
