WAUBS HARBOUR WAUBS GREAT SOUTHERN REEF SINGLE MALT 43% 500ML

A genuine limited release in support of the Great Southern Reef Foundation. 591 bottles were drawn from ex-Apera Sherry casks and finished in 40 year old ex-Tawny Port casks from Murray Street, bringing a lovely salted caramel backbone, enhanced by the Apera stewed fruits with a complexity and depth that only an aged fortified can provide. Bottled at 43% ABV and never to be repeated.

Tasting Notes

NOSE: Apple, apricot, pear, brown wood sugars and kitchen spices. An apricot danish meets an almond croissant. Complex and evolving.

PALATE: A salted caramel backbone and a balance of sweet buttery stone fruits from the Apera cask with that old Tawny treacle.

FINISH: A lingering finish of lovely sweet, apple, pear, sultana and treacle overlay.
