In 1782 Walter Teeling opened the first distillery of the Teeling family in Marrowbone Lane, which immediately became the driving force of the Irish whiskey industry. However, numerous strokes of fate at the beginning of the 20th century led to the closure of the last whiskey distillery in Dublin in the 1970s. Now for more than 40 years the Teeling family dared a new beginning and opened a Craft Distillery in Dublin in 2014. The Phoenix, which adorns every bottle of Teeling Irish Whisky, stands for this new beginning. This whiskey is a Blendet Pot Still Whiskey and contains a high malt content. It matured in a rum barrel. Like all Teeling Whiskeys, this one is neither coloured nor cool-filtered.
