This is the Shiraz red wine from 19 Crimes, telling stories of great escapes from Australia. Who knew victorious escapades tasted this sweet? The man depicted in the picture is a man named Michael Harrington.
A British conscript turned infamous convict, Michael Harrington is perhaps best known for orchestrating one of the most daring escapes from Australia.
In 1876, Harrington, along with six others, braved a massive typhoon in nothing more than a tiny rowboat to board an American whaling ship in what is now remembered as the "Catalpa Rescue."
Tasting Notes
A delightful fruity floral nose: dark fruit, blackberry and cherry. Vanilla on the end with a bit of tart. A bit more on the acidic side.
