Plantation 5 Year Barbados Rum 40% 700ml
Plantation Grande Reserve 5 Year Rum is a versatile mixing or sipping rum from Maison Ferrand. Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel utilizes two types of wood containers - ex-bourbon barrels and ex-cognac casks - to develop flavours of vanilla, fudge and toasted coconut. Grande Reserve is a signature blend of Barbados rums that is rich in bourbon flavour. Suave and elegant, this bottle of rum is appropriate for any occasion.
TASTING NOTES
Color: Bright amber
Nose: The opening nosing round is all about baking shop fragrances, but also pipe tobacco, toasted marshmallow; secondary whiffs after further aeration discover bacon fat, black raisin, prune.
Palate: Entry is bittersweet, roasted; midpalate is engagingly toasty, nearly fruity, as in baked orchard fruits, and resiny. Finishes medium long, chocolaty.
