The 2022 Alain Jaume Domaine du Clos de Sixte Lirac is an organically farmed Southern Rhône red made from Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Grown on Lirac’s clay-rich terraces scattered with rounded stones, it shows blackberry, cassis and ripe cherry with liquorice, garrigue, black olive and warm spice.
On the palate, it is medium-to-full bodied with generous dark fruit, balanced acidity and firm yet polished tannins. Blackberry and blackcurrant are layered with pepper, liquorice and subtle chocolate notes, while maturation in tank and barrel contributes gentle oak spice. The finish is long, savoury and well structured.
