TASTING NOTES

VINIFICATION

The fruit was sourced entirely from Block 21, a 3.1-hectare Reynella clone block on the Eastern side of the Estate. The fruit was harvested in the cool of the night using a selective destemming 3rd harvester on the of May 2021. The fruit was fermented in two five tonne open fermenters and then matured in 100% tight grain French oak barriques for 12 months.

WINEMAKERS COMMENTS

Mountadam Vineyards High Eden series is the selection of the best parcels of fruit from the Estate. ‘Milton’, formerly known as ‘The Red’, is a small and subtle tribute to the Brown family’s contribution to Mountadams legacy. The wine is named after David’s father, Milton Brown. Traditionally known as the best Cabernet or Cabernet blend from the Estate the 2021 vintage saw this wine as a straight Cabernet Sauvignon due to the high quality of a single block.
