After undergoing full malolactic fermentation to reveal a supple roundness, Mumm Millésimé 2016 was aged for five years in the Maison’s iconic chalk cellars beneath the city of Reims.

Ample fruit comes forth, like peach and poached pear, with honeyed notes as well as a lightly smoky nuance.

TO THE EYE
Mumm Millésimé 2016 is a pale-yellow hue with subtle golden highlights.

ON THE NOSE
On the nose, aromas of yellow fruit and honey come forward. Deepening the wine’s bouquet, concentrated notes of dried fruit and poached pear reveal themselves, with a hint of smoke.

ON THE PALATE
Exciting and expressive, the first notes that come forth are all honeyed fruit, with layers of pear and peach. Richer, more concentrated nuances of dried and stewed fruit are characterized by a smoky edge. The flavors are round, generous and powerful, with a pleasing, long finish.

Wine that is both delicate due to its floral notes on the nose, yet also powerful and structured with fruity undertones, lightly toasted, and a pronounced minerality on the finish. This wine pairs perfectly with green asparagus and hazelnut sabayon.
