Lark Hill was established by Sue and David Carpenter in 1978, on the Lake George Escarpment above Bungendore, having left careers in scientific research to pursue their passion for winemaking. At 860 metres, Lark Hill is one of the highest and coldest vineyards in Australia, producing delicate Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Late picked, and not (obviously) botrytis affected, the sweetness achieved by stopping the fermentation at the 'Kabinett' level, as per in the Mosel Valley. Juicy and ripe, and at home best served as an aperitif, or with a cake or fresh fruit dessert.

Very reserved, quiet aroma, suggesting talc, toast, earth and broken rock; the palate shows a lot of sweetness, at least semi-sweet, much more than half-dry, and super-fruity throughout.
