Deakin Estate Pinot Grigio 2021 13.5% 750ml
Tasting Notes
Palate
Light, fresh fruit notes of pear with a touch of nectarine. A rich, smooth mouthfeel with weight and complexity.
Appearance
Medium straw.
Aroma
Delicate nashi pear and white stone fruit with subtle notes of citrus and orange blossom.
Vinification
Pinot Grigio grapes were picked in great condition from our family estate vineyards in Victoria. The grapes were fermented naturally in stainless steel fermenters until halfway through fermentation (allowing complex and textural characteristics to develop), then a selected yeast was introduced to promote fresh floral and citrus notes. The wine spent a short time on lees to build mouthfeel.
Region notes
South East Australia. Grown and harvested from our Mildura vineyards which rest alongside our citrus groves at Red Cliffs in north west Victoria and from our Coonawarra estate vineyards in South Australia.
