La Linea pioneered cool-climate tempranillo over a decade ago, and has since repeated the act with mencia. La Linea are the forefront of the exploration of these exciting varieties, as both red and rosé wines. A partnership between experienced winemakers Peter Leske, Alanna Pepper, and David LeMire. Peter was named ‘Winemaker of the Year’ in 2020 by the Australian Society for Viticulture and Oenology; David is one of Australia’s few Masters of Wine; and Alanna was awarded the David Bradley Memorial Prize by the University of Adelaide in 2017. All fruit is from the Adelaide Hills; and all vinified at Peter’s winery at Lenswood as single-vineyard batches. A James Halliday 5 Star Rated Winery.

A sleek, more compact rendering of tempranillo with fine, silty tannins lending structure and shape. Dark cherry is met by clove, sarsaparilla, fennel and black pepper characters. It has a tight profile through a refreshing finish. An elegant, fresh and refined expression of the variety.
