Gabrielskloof The Landscape Elodie Chenin Blanc 13% 750ml

The Landscape Series is a range of five wines that show the best of Gabriëlskloof's vineyards, together with some special old vine treasures, and aims to give an honest representation of the elements that make them unique. They wanted the labels to reflect this approach and commissioned Niël Jonker – well-known for his landscape panels painted on location – to capture the spirit of our Overberg landscapes.

Vinification: All fruit was whole bunch pressed and 100% wild fermented in different-sized clay amphorae, as well as 400- and 500L older French barrels. The wine spent ten months on its lees before blending and bottling.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: This wine is light golden in colour.

Nose: With subtle aromas of apricot and white peach coupled with layers of almond, orange blossom and herbs.

Taste: The palate is full-bodied with great natural acidity and freshness which is typical of old vine Chenin
