Aroma
Beautiful purity from a classic aromatic vintage, showing lemon citrus, green apple and subtle, complex tropical notes.

Palate
Bright and fresh, with natural citrus-like acidity driving the palate alongside persistent flavours and a delicate minerality from the 2025 vintage. Notes of lemon barley, fresh lime and passionfruit.

Vinification
The fruit for this wine was sourced from the family’s Carbunup vineyard, where vibrant canopy growth and healthy vines help preserve freshness and flavour until harvest. The grapes were picked during the cool of night to retain acidity and fruit condition. The fruit was gently pressed to avoid over-extraction of phenolics and to maintain purity. After clarification, fermentation was carried out over eight days at cool temperatures using an aromatic yeast strain. SO₂ was added soon after primary fermentation to preserve freshness and vibrancy.

Vintage notes
Following a warm and dry 2024 vintage, winter was delayed. However, excellent rainfall arrived in August, replenishing groundwater and restoring vine health. Given the demands on the vines during the previous season, vine nutrition and canopy management were prioritised in spring. Flowering was successful across all varieties, with average yields recorded. Chardonnay showed some uneven shoot growth, requiring extra viticultural input. Cool nights and the Gingin clone’s traits helped white varieties retain excellent natural acidity and vibrant flavour. Dry conditions persisted through summer, with a brief rain in mid-March refreshing soils ahead of the red harvest. Disease pressure was minimal, though water availability remained a key concern, and warm weather led to elevated sugar levels in some red blocks Bird pressure was significant, with netting required throughout the vintage. A very warm 2024 and lack of water led to minimal Marri blossom, leaving silvereyes and other birds in search of alternative food sources namely, ripening grapes.
