Tasting Notes

Aroma
Fresh fruit and floral aromas dominate the nose and palate; white peach, lemon zest, pear, granny smith apple and citrus blossoms.

Palate
The oak influence creates a nice mid-palate that balances with the bright acidity that lingers.

Vinification
50% stainless steel fermented, no malolactic fermentation. 50% barrel fermented with malolactic fermentation. 100% barrel aged sur lie for 5 months in 18% new French oak.

Region notes
Katherine’s Vineyard, named for Katie Jackson in 1986, consists of ancient soils with fossilized seashells, shale, limestone and sand, with fog swept vines that have endured since the 1970s.
