The Jaume family have been wine growers since 1826. Domaine Veneur, in northern Châteauneuf-du-Pape, was created by Alain Jaume in 1978 and is today run by next generation: Christophe, Sébastien and Hélène Jaume. From small beginnings, the family now farms 145 hectares, which include Domaine Grand Veneur and Domaine du Clos Sixte in Lirac, both 100% Certified Organic Eco Cert. The Les Champauvins Cotes du Rhone Rouge offers exceptional value. Sharing the round pebbly soils (galets) of Chateauneuf-du-Pape with which it borders, the Les Champauvins vineyard was unlucky to remain just outside the appellation.
