The man depicted in the picture is a man named John Boyle O'Reilly. As a youth in Ireland, John Boyle O’Reilly was a member of the Irish Republican Brotherhood, or Fenians, for which he was transported to Western Australia.

After escaping to the United States, he became a prominent spokesperson for the Irish community and culture, through his editorship of the Boston newspaper The Pilot, his prolific writing, and his lecture tours.

Tasting Notes
The nose is vibrant with cherries and plum. The palate continues the aforementioned theme, but has a hint of smoke to temper the sweetness. Overall a well balanced red blend.
