Yabby Lake Single Vineyard Pinot Noir 2019 13.5% 750ml

Yabby Lake Single Vineyard Pinot Noir 2019 13.5% 750ml

The expressive, flowery red fruit aromas set the scene for a palate with fine, silky tannins and a lingering finish. A wonderfully structured and elegant drop. Perfectly paired with some charcuterie meats.

Expert Review:

James Halliday- 95 Points. There's a richness and ripeness of flavour perfectly reflecting the warmer vintage, without going over the top. Fragrant and floral, dark cherries spiced to the max, dabs of licorice, herbs and a smidge of wood char, with the oak neatly tucked in. Tannins have some emery board grip and the acidity is bright enough that you can enjoy it now or hold for a while. James Halliday Wine Companion 2022, 13 August, 2021

Yabby Lake Vineyard was established by the Kirby family in 1998, in Tuerong, which is located in the northern end of the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. Over the past decade, the vineyard has built a reputation for chardonnay and pinot noir of great purity and character under its Single Vineyard and Single Block Release labels. Led by winemaker Tom Carson, the Yabby Lake philosophy is to craft wines that speak of our site and the season in which they were grown. It's the attention and care in the vineyard that is most critical to allowing this expression. The producer's vision and dedication has led to some exciting accolades in recent years, including their history-making Block 1 Pinot Noir - which was the first pinot noir ever to win the revered Jimmy Watson Trophy, after 52 years of the award.
