The rain eased throughout spring which allowed our vineyard to produce excellent fruit. Summer showers led to a tricky harvest, however our elevation and vineyard slope allowed the rain to drain out of the vineyard, and our cover crop soaked up the excess water. It was a short harvest period, with just enough sun and warmth to ripen all varieties nicely and we have great concentration and balance in all of our wines this year.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eVinification\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eHand-picked from the top half of our 49 year old high altitude block L vineyard and then whole bunch pressed, with minimal intervention. Approximately 20% of the juice was fermented and stored in older oak barrels to gain further complexity.
