Flowering occurred under calm conditions with no major heat spikes, leading to clean bunch formation and good natural acidity. Summer tracked cooler than average, with long daylight hours and cool evenings, ideal for retaining the delicate aromatics that define Riesling. The region avoided the extremes that can rush ripening; instead, we experienced a slow, steady accumulation of flavour, with sugars rising gently and acids holding firm. Harvest arrived later than the previous few vintages, with fruit coming in bright, pristine, and highly perfumed.
