TASTING NOTES

APPEARANCE

Light, bright lemon-yellow colour.

AROMA

A subtle, reserved bouquet of lemon, almond, honey and subtle smoky, buttery croissant overtones.

PALATE

This is a delight! It is fresh, bright, vibrant, complex and intense - in a word 'exhuberant'. There's ripe white peach, nectarine and honeydew melon flavours and, while the fruit is dominant, even expressive, there's an oak grip especially on the finish.

MATURATION

Fermented exclusively in French oak barriques (40% new) for 10 months; only partial natural malolactic fermentation.

VINTAGE NOTES

More generous due in part to the inclusion of a new clone, it remains a pristine example of chardonnay grown in the ultra-cool Piccadilly Valley.

Cellaring Potential

While very satisfying young, the wine is expected to age beautifully for at least ten years.
