It represented part of the second coming of the Victorian wine industry which had seen very little new plantings since the turn of the century. The region had always had a pedigree for great wines with the first vineyards in Grampians being planted at Bests \u0026amp; Seppelt’s, in the early 1860’s. The vineyard was owned by Trevor Mast and Mount Langi Ghiran, before the Drummond Family (Stonier Winery) purchased it in 2013.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eVinification\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eHand picked and fermented in 2tn open fermenters. 100% destemmed. Initial pump over for the first few days and then plunged twice daily. Wild ferment, on skins for roughly two weeks.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eVintage notes\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e2021 was a cool, low cropping year, resulting in small bunches with loads of intensity. The Shiraz was harvested in April post Easter and fermented in open static fermenters, plunged by hand twice a day for lovely colour and tannin extraction.
