The name of ‘Albariza’ comes from the typical white soil used for growing grapes in the production of sherry in the Andalucia region of Southern Spain. Bottled at natural colour and non-chill filter, it is originally matured in American oak casks and finished in Pedro Ximinez Sherry Cask. The whisky is part of the small production of the peated range of BenRiach. So, it will not last long.
Nose: honey and peat smoke infused of sweet dates and chocolate fondant.
Taste: Campfire peat, earthy, dark chocolate, ripe figs rise, black cherry, vanilla and white pepper.
Finish: Long with honey, dark chocolate and gentle spices
