The Balvenie 14-Year-Old Week of Peat is a limited-edition single malt whisky from the Balvenie distillery in Scotland. The whisky is made from 100% malted barley, which is grown and malted on the distillery's own farm. The barley is then peated for a week, which is a process where the barley is exposed to smoke from burning peat, a type of moss that is abundant in Scotland. This imparts a distinct smoky, peaty flavor to the final product.
This is is best enjoyed neat or with a small amount of water to open up the flavors. It pairs well with smoked meats, cheeses, and chocolate desserts.
